Workshop Training Facility
This comprehensive workshop is used by undergraduate students undergoing their Workshop Training course conducted by a qualified instructor.
The area is also available for postgraduate students when not being used as a training facility.
Major items of equipment include 3 mills, 3 small lathes, 1 large lathe and hand tools. There is also MIG, stick and gas welding equipment available.
Nothing is to be taken out of the Workshop Training Facility without permission. Borrowed articles must be recorded with the borrower's name, date borrowed and date returned.
Workshop users must wear safety glasses at all times, wear appropriate footwear and use hearing protection when appropriate. Workshop users must clean up after any work done.
