Store
The workshop and laboratories are supported by a stores section to supply consumable items. The store is for items in approved projects and experiments only. It is not to be regarded as a source of components for personal use.
Hours
- 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
- 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm
Students must see a member of the technical staff.
All equipment and materials obtained from the Store by a student are to be recorded on his "Store's Record Card" before leaving the Store.
Materials not available in store, in certain circumstances may be procured through local purchase. Students should consult their supervisors requesting an external order requisition for the purchase of materials for projects.
The Technician in charge arranges for all components and equipment to be picked up from the local suppliers.
Most hand tools are available in the students' section of the workshop but additional tools may be borrowed from the Store.
The present system of issuing equipment enables requirements to be met with the minimum of delay. The co-operation of all students is requested in order that irksome restrictions need not be introduced.
